Two monarchs have been crowned in one night as activities for the 2004/2005 carnival continue.

On Thursday night at Warner Park Singing Jackie beat out the other competitors in the Female Calypso Bacchanal with her tunes “Longing For That Day”, and “Gi Dem Someting”.

First runner up went to Singing Kibie and Princess P took the second runner up spot.

The third runner up position went to Anastasia.

Singing Jackie was crowned by Minister Of State Responsible For Sports, The Hon Richard Skerritt.

Also on that same night was the debut of a new event: The Best Of The Rest calypso competition.

This new show pitted seven calypsonians who did not make it to the finals in the national calypso competition.

The winner of the best of the rest competition was Blackbeard, with his song “Love You Wife”.

First runner up was Dr Kroft and De Unexpected placed second runner up.

The shows were MC’d by Calypso Reggie, Sister Sensia and Mighty Monarch.
