National Carnival Queen Contestants Announced


Carnival in St Kitts is a kaleidoscope of creative pageantry, colourful costumes and cultural expressions.

This year, in celebration of its 35th Anniversary the National Carnival Committee (N.C.C.) has again extended its hand of partnership to the Private Sector. This is to ensure that the Carnival calendar of activities re fully supported and staged at the best performance level. In maintaining these harmonious relations the N.C.C. records its gratitude to the businesses which have sponsored the 2006 National Queen Contestants.

In order of appearance, # 1 is Miss Kittitian Heights – Violet Williams, a 25year old Guidance Counsellor. # 2 is Miss St Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank Ltd Sidama Jones – a 20 year old Customer Service Representative. 24 year old Sacher Warner is # 3 in the line up compliments Cable & Wireless (St Kitts Nevis) Ltd. Sacher is a Trained Teacher. Fourth on stage will be Miss Beaumont Park – 19 year old Camech Stevens – a College Student. # 5 is Miss St Kitts Music Festival – Isis Francis – a 23 year old Customer Service Representative and the sixth and final Contestant is 19 year old Tesia Burton, a Bank Teller sponsored by Carib Brewery (St Kitts Nevis) Ltd.

On Sunday 10th December at 4.30 pm it’s the Swim Suit Competition at the Ocean Terrace Inn, featuring the six (6) Contestants in two (2) appearances, first in a whole bathsuit of their choice, then in a bikini from internationally acclaimed Roger Gary Designs. The criteria will focus on physical fitness, poise, carriage, selection and fit of swimwear.

On the final night – Thursday 28th December, at 8.00 pm, the Sensational Six will appear at Carnival City, Warner Park in five (5) segments – Introductory Appearance featuring the Whole Piece Swimsuit, Carnival Costume, Performing Talent, Evening Gown and Onstage Interview.

An open invitation is extended to the general public to attend both events.
